This 75-minute course, presented by Dr. Sayida Peprah-Wilson, will focus on increasing the awareness of participants regarding perinatal/postpartum mood and anxiety disorders and practical skills to support pregnant and postpartum persons. Maternal suicide research findings and recommendations for providing care and support to individuals with elevated risks or presentation of mental health concerns will be offered. Additionally, cultural considerations and strength-based interventions will be highlighted.

This 75-minute course, presented by Dr. Sayida Peprah-Wilson,  will focus on increasing the competence, sensitivity and humility of perinatal care providers, in an effort to promote the establishment of trauma-free and supportive perinatal care environments for all birthing people.

Implicit bias contributes to health disparities in marginalized communities. This 90-minute, on-demand training presented by Dr. Sayida Peprah-Wilson,  focuses on building cultural conscientiousness, sensitivity, and humility. Participants will examine their own unconscious biases and gain practical tools to engage patients and clients in more open, respectful, and empathetic ways, improving communication, care, and outcomes.

1 on 1 and group support available for doulas serving Los Angeles County by providing personalized guidance on Medi-Cal enrollment, PAVE applications, managed care plan contracting, billing questions & payment challenges. The bilingual Benefits Navigator, offers support in both English & Spanish to help doulas navigate administrative processes with confidence.

The LA County Doula Medi-Cal Hub invites LA County doulas to apply for a one-year Pear Suite scholarship offering full access to their care coordination platform to manage client data, workflow development, documentation, billing and claims submission for reimbursement.  

12 Selected doulas, who are actively contracted with one or more Managed Care Plans, will receive individualized and group training to successfully document their work, and bill for services along with wraparound support. Scholarships are limited and available only to LA County residents.

Note: The Doula Hub does not promote one billing service over another. We encourage doulas to make autonomous business decisions. Please apply for this opportunity if you feel it will support your developing Medi-Cal Doula practice.
