DESCRIPTION: The Birthworker Business Toolkit Webinar is a resource designed to empower Black birthworkers, including, Doulas, Community Health Workers, Maternal Health Peer Specialists, Lactation Consultants, Birth Educators, Breastfeeding and Chestfeeding Educators and Specialists, Advocates, Activists and the maternal health and reproductive justice community, with the foundational tools needed to build a sustainable and impactful business.

Hosted by California Black Women’s Health Project, this interactive session guides participants through the origins of Black birthwork, explores personal purpose within the Birth Justice movement, and provides step-by-step business strategies to operationalize and monetize their offerings. Topics include business formation, branding, financial planning, and mentorship, all tailored to the realities of working within birth and reproductive justice spaces.

By the end of the training, birthworkers will have a practical framework and resources to help them monetize and operationalize their business to support their heartwork and their livelihood.
