DESCRIPTION: HealthConnect One’s Community-Based Doula Program is a nationally recognized evidence-based model, refined over 20 years of practice in communities across the country. The program prepares individuals to become doula professionals who offer care through an equity lens and a trauma-informed perspective. This accredited 6-month training includes:

• Doula Certification

• Mentorship

• PAVE Enrollment

• Business Development

• Medi-Cal Billing training and more!

Requirements include:

• Live participate in a mandatory info session on June 18, 2025

• Commit to weekly in-person trainings held at our Wilmington site (Wednesdays 6:30pm-9:30pm)

• Have a passion for supporting birthing people, advocacy, and improving birth outcomes (prior experience not required)

• Support 3 participants prenatally, during labor, and in the postpartum period after completing initial training (requires background check prior to participant assignment)

• Complete all required coursework

• Participate in doula supervision (mentorship)
