DESCRIPTION: The LA County Medi-Cal Doula Hub is partnering with Public Counsel to provide qualifying doulas with access to trusted legal support and resources. Through this partnership, Public Counsel will respond to doula inquiries for legal assistance and when appropriate, offer qualifying doulas direct legal services or referrals tailored to their needs. 

Get Legal Help With:

• Drafting and reviewing contracts

• Drafting and reviewing leases

• Choosing and creating a business entity (e.g., LLC, Corporation)

• Debt negotiation

• Landlord tenant issues

• Intellectual Property (e.g., trademarking a design, name or logo; getting a patent)

• Employment Law (e.g., help complying with employment laws)

This collaboration aims to ensure doulas have the legal foundation and protections necessary to continue serving their communities with confidence. Whether you have questions about contracts, client agreements, or other business and practice matters, this session is an opportunity to connect with legal experts who understand your work.
