You are now in your postpartum recovery period where taking care of you is a priority in addition to bonding with your baby as you figure out everything to do with feeding, burping, calming and enjoying your precious miracle. Please be sure to rest, sleep when your baby sleeps, ask for help when you need it, eat nutritious food, and hydrate well!

1: Confirm your postpartum visits with your doula
You receive 3 postpartum visits with your doula in the Frontline Doula Program. 
These visits include:
- Breastfeeding / nursing support and education; our doulas have lactation training and expertise 
- If you are bottle feeding and/or pumping our team will answer your questions and concerns in these areas as needed 
- Newborn care information and helpful tips 
- Postpartum recovery recommendations 
- Emotional health support 
- Processing your birth experience 
2: Book your 2-week medical visit
Reminder to schedule an appointment with your OB or Midwife. This visit should happen now, in addition to the standard 6 week visit.
3: Lactation Support Clinics
If you need further Lactation Support from an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), this is available at MLK Community Hospital - Community Lactation (Breastfeeding) Clinic.

- In-Clinic and Telehealth Visits 
- All insurances are welcome! Uninsured are welcome! 
- All breastfeeding concerns including jaundice issues and weight checks.

4: Join our village
Enroll in a breastfeeding/body-feeding support group, a new mother / parent support group. Fathers and partners can access resources on our Frontline Father/Parent page. Fathers can also join Donuts for Dads Fatherhood Group. SEE INFO BELOW.
