You are now in your postpartum recovery period where taking care of you is a priority in addition to bonding with your baby as you figure out everything to do with feeding, burping, calming and enjoying your precious miracle. Please be sure to rest, sleep when your baby sleeps, ask for help when you need it, eat nutritious food, and hydrate well!

We want to remind you to:

1: Confirm your postpartum visits with your doula

You receive 3 postpartum visits with your doula in the Frontline Doula Program.
These visits include:

  • Breastfeeding / nursing support and education; our doulas have lactation training and expertise

  • If you are bottle feeding and/or pumping our team will answer your questions and concerns in these areas as needed

  • Newborn care information and helpful tips

  • Postpartum recovery recommendations

  • Emotional health support

  • Processing your birth experience

2: Book your 2-week medical visit

Reminder to schedule an appointment with your OB or Midwife. This visit should happen now, in addition to the standard 6 week visit.

3: Lactation Support Clinics

If you need further Lactation Support from an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), this is available at MLK Community Hospital Community Lactation (Breastfeeding) Clinic, by appointment only.

  • In-Clinic and Telehealth Visits

  • All insurances are welcome! Uninsured are welcome!

  • All breastfeeding concerns including jaundice issues and weight checks.

Prenatal Breastfeeding with Kimberly Durdin, LM is an exciting and engaging in-person educational experience on normal newborn feeding. Priced per couple. Fathers/partners/support folks are welcome and encouraged to join (no extra charge). Doulas are welcome to attend this parent class for a $25 fee. Book your appointment HERE.

4: Join our village

Enroll in a breastfeeding/bodyfeeding support group, a new mother/parent support group. Fathers and partners can access resources on our Frontline Father/Parent pageSEE INFO BELOW.

New moms group for those expecting, with newborns, and up to those with pre-walkers. This is a place for loving support, community and to answer all your feeding and mothering questions. Mom’s Support Group
Mondays at 1:30pm

A mom’s group for those who are expecting, with newborns, or raising toddlers. A space for support, connection, and guidance on feeding and all things motherhood, facilitated by members of our community. Bring your baby, snacks, and anything you need during your time here. Water and tea are available. Free to attend, with optional donations via Venmo @kimberly-durdin.

Queer & Trans Parenting Group
Every 4th Saturday of the month at 10am

Join this gathering w/ others on a similar journey. Whether planning, conceiving, gestating or parenting, you are welcome here! Loving held by queer KSLA family members Max (she/they), Osh (he/him), and their daughter. Free/donation-based group. Children are always welcome.
